What a good time we had this weekend.
Not only did we go to the dog park and out to dinner, but we also went to the psychic bookstore and got Tarot cards, AND went to the Berkeley Marina and bought a kite and spent the afternoon out learning how to fly our new two-handled trick kite! Now, that was fun. I loved it, and I think Terri's got a new addiction. It is one of those kind of Zen activities... you can't think about anything else while you're doing it, it's very relaxing and just plain fun.
I had a boyfriend who used to tell me about how, when he lived in Florida, he would just spend hours at the beach flying kites. I was always slightly (ok, more than slightly) puzzled by how flying a kite could take up all that time -- I can see it, now. I want to go back!
My mommy had a bad accident over the weekend... she fell off the back of a (parked) pickup truck and hit her head on the cement floor of the garage! Ouch, ouch, ouch. She's okay, but I'm sure is quite sore today. Healing wishes to Mom!
Terri's gone for the next two nights. I'm at home, meandering the Internet, meandering around my house, soon to meander my way to bed for an early bedtime. I have a guilty-pleasure movie and some Oreos... I'm set.
