Tapestry

One thing I do remember Betty Jo saying was that one theory of going through therapy is to try to make your tapestry (you, your life) to match on both sides. Tapestries used to be made so that either side (front or back) was usable - they matched (rather than only the front being pretty and the back being full of mistakes/coverups). So the goal was to make the inside match the outside, and vice versa.

I think I'm going to try and remember this. Making the outside match the inside, and the inside match the outside.

How I wish I had tape recordings of all our sessions, now.

Hi Daph,

I'm so sorry to hear about Betty Jo. It's so nice to hear, though, that she got a chance to hear about your life. I'm sure that meant a lot to her.
