Things That Make You Say "Yay"!

I was reading someone’s list of sensory experiences that 'make you say, “Yay!”…'. Her list was pretty great (if a little graphic). I liked the idea, so here’s mine (a little less graphic), in no particular order.

* A hot bath after being out in the cold (especially after skiing)
* Hearing the rain when I’m snug in bed
* Also: reading in bed when it’s raining, or pretty much anything else that involves being in bed while it’s raining
* Bed + rain + hearing the ocean = perfection
* Turning up a really great rock song in the car, especially at night
* Being in shape and going running
* Walking by the water with Terri
* Being the victim of one of Terri’s practical jokes
* Standing on a cliff or rock near the ocean and watching the waves crash
* Hiking in a misty forest
* Feet in a river on a hot day
* Laying on a couch with my feet up, reading a great book
* Chopping vegetables when I’m not in a hurry
* Getting done with a drawing or art project
* Eating peaches or nectarines
* Eating raw tomatoes with a little salt
* Putting together a really good outfit, complete with jewelry and good hair
* Shopping with my mom
* Sitting and talking with really good friends, when you’re really connecting
* Looking at art supplies
* Petting the kitties (or any animal)
* Sunday morning coffee
* Jumping on a trampoline or bouncy foam
* Finding a really great lipstick
* Getting handed a just-out-of-the-dryer towel when I step out of the shower
* New shoes
* Getting a face-bath from Katie
* Getting into a hot car when it’s cold and windy outside
* Pretty much any cold-to-hot experience

It's the little things, really.
