Grinding Halt

No light

Grinding halt
Everything's coming to a grinding halt
-The Cure

Well, maybe it's not as bad as all that, but we have still not heard the final word from this landlady and it's driving us crazy. All plans have come to a, well, grinding halt. If we don't hear from her by the end of the day today, I will call again tomorrow.

Also apparently at a grinding halt is my reading. I'm currently half-heartedly reading two books and should finish both of them in a day or two. But I just haven't found anything yet that has grabbed me. Also, been under a teensy bit of stress, so everything non-essential (and quite a few actual essentials) have sort of -- again -- come to a grinding halt.

However, puppies have not come to a grinding halt! Such cuties.

Can never get enough puppies!! I actually held a weimaraner puppy today at the pet store because the post-it said, "if you have time, please hold me. I need attention". How could I resist?

My friend also has a live puppy feed on her blog:

Puppies equal smiles!

Aww, the puppies are so cute.

I love The Cure, but grinding halts are no fun. I hope you get good news soon!
