The "Shoulds"

They're starting to pile up, as I continue to take this month 'off'.
I should:

• Finish two holiday gifts I never completed (geez)
• Get my paperwork for business in order
• Call the tax lady to set things up
• Seriously finish my 5-year-plan (I am working on it, though)
• Think about and plan some jewelry designs
• Do some 'serious' reading
• Various household chores

Why am I taking this month off again? Oh yeah, to remind myself what it's like to not be driven by 'shoulds'. Clearly I still have work to do on this.

Today I'm going to just get the house put away a bit, make some lists (so they stop running around in my head), do a little cooking, and maybe finish up one gift. I can do the other next week, in a leisurely fashion. Right?

It's a beautiful day, although I wonder when the rain is coming back. Yesterday I drove home from visiting Janet down in Campbell, and the rain was pouring down and I was on 280 and it was green and lovely and I just loved it (even the hydroplaning!). You can take the girl out of Oregon, but you can't take the Oregon out of the girl.
