Bits and Pieces: 5 Things

Sometimes, things come in bits and pieces. Here's some for today.

1. I'd like to take a creative writing class. I like to write, but I think my writing is clunky. Or bad. Or something else not-good, but certainly not where I'd like it to be. I've never taken a creative writing class! But I love books, and I'd like to put one of my own (books) out there someday. I have lots of ideas but I never seem to get around to starting it. Maybe a class would help. Or maybe not.
2. I'd like to also take a color class, or an interior design class. Kind of for this new job-related idea I have, but also because I really like color and am very affected by it, but I don't think I've had enough training (beyond simple art-school color theory) to really make it work for me. Also, I like to do things all by myself, and if I can have more tools (like, for painting my house, or rearranging my furniture, or making my furniture), all the better.
3. I need a good digital camera. I just do.
4. I'm going to try to get to the White Elephant sale tomorrow and I'm so excited! Books! Random kitchen items! Vintage clothing! I can't wait. I haven't been thrifting in ages so this is very exciting to me.
5. I just watched Running With Scissors last night, and you know what? It was good, really really good. I read the book and I actually liked the movie much more than I thought I would (I usually don't like movies based on books, with a few notable exceptions). I thought the filming was really lovely, I liked the editing (I don't usually even talk about things like 'filming' and 'editing' but for some reaseon this movie makes me think about them), I thought the acting (especially by Annette Bening) was really great, and I was just pleasantly surprised overall.
