The Journey

Quick Update: Terri has back surgery scheduled for Monday. This is a good thing (I think).

In the meantime, a photo journal of our fabulous Santa Barbara/Pacifica Graduate Institute/Ph.D Completion Journey!!

On the way down, there were NO hotels available anywhere. And believe me, we looked. So, spent the morning (from 4:30 am to 9 am) in the van, by the beach. It was an adventure. We felt like hippies!

However, by the end of the first day, things were looking up. We had a beautiful sunset to encourage us and a wonderful portent of things to come for Terri.

The morning of her defense, she woke up with the beginnings of a cold, a swollen eye, and a mountain of notes to review.

However, once we arrived at Pacifica, things got better. It's so beautiful there. What a dream to go to school there. If we ever live in that area, I want to take their Mythology Degree program.
