Don't Stop Believin'

(stealing the idea for the title from D'Arcy)

One more night. Tomorrow everything will be different, one way or another. I'm praying and praying that things will be truly different. (although frankly, whoever it is is going to have to spend the next two years cleaning up the huge mess rather than making any big sweeping changes). We'll be at the polls tomorrow afternoon. I'm very excited. And crossing every finger and toe I have.

Also, if you are in California: please, vote NO ON 8!!! Please vote against hate and discrimination.

I haven't studied very much at all for my test tomorrow night. I get to drop one test, so this might be the test I drop. I just can't get into studying when there's so much else going on. And, honestly, I'm totally uninspired by this class and am having to really remind myself that I'm even taking the class. It's pretty sad.

Well. It's late. We're watching the endless punditing and feeling anxious. It's time for bed.

I have just been glued to all sorts of news media to the point where I made myself take the last 36 hours off. Such stress. Tomorrow will be such an emotional release, one way or another.

Girl, I wish I was a Californian just to make the no on 8 vote! I am crossing my fingers so hard on that one. People are crazy to think marriage is exclusively tied to (conservative) religion.

I am so glad we'll know the election results soon. I just hope it is a happy kind of relief.

I'm with Ally Marie: I wish I could vote against Prop 8 too! But since I live in Cali, I've had to see all the stupid pro-Prop 8 commercials and around tow for the last week there have been pro-Prop 8 people demonstrating at intersections. :(

I did some exit polling for a class this morning, though, and everyone I talked to voted against Prop 8! Yay for that!

I'm just praying that common sense (and respect, and an understanding of the constitution, and basic decency...) will prevail.

happy election day!
