Geeking Out

I'm such a geek. Tonight I've indulged in many of my geeky tendencies.

• Veggie Geek: I ate a whole bag of steamed spinach.
• Art Geek: Did a small painting for a magazine proposal (for someone else).
• Ghost Geek: Ghost Hunters is having a 'Best Of" marathon -- it's pretty amazing stuff.
• Cat Photography Geek: See below.
• Book Geek: I'm looking forward to a large stack of books in bed once Ghost Hunters is done.

Ok, so the Ghost Hunters marathon is the geekiest of the bunch. But seriously, they investigated The Stanley Hotel (inspiration for The Shining), and a very haunted lighthouse in Florida. They captured some pretty incredible footage. I'm sorry, I'm a total geek, and I believe it. Maybe the show is totally bogus, but it's pretty cool. Crazy.

It totally reminds me of Matt and I experiencing weirdness in our house as kids. Thankfully, we never actually SAW anything, or had any physical experiences (because I seriously might have died of fright), but we both definitely felt and sensed stuff. Even now, I sometimes see creepy shadows and have bad feelings...

You know, whether it's 'real' or not, it adds to the mystery of life, and I like that. I choose to believe that there's another realm, and that there's spirits (or something) in our world that sometimes we experience. I'm just fascinated by this stuff.
