Lost in Target

I went to Target tonight to look for a few things. I was in that perfect shopper mode - I had no time limit on how long I could be in the store, I felt like wandering, and I had no list. Verrrry dangerous.

I did pretty well (both in terms of finding things AND not going overboard). I found two shirts and a pair of casual cropped jeans (I needed to replace the bad ones I've had for the past two years). Some closet solutions (hangers, hooks), a drying rack for clothes, some cat food. A Brita replacement filter. Nothing too exciting, but I do like my new shirts.

I longingly looked at super-cute summer jammies, and tried on a ton of clothes. I sniffed all the fancy lotions and looked at every single eyeshadow in the Sasha Kashuk (sp?) display. I inspected all the bags and tried on some sunhats. I chose a few herbs for when I finally figure out how to get a window box in the kitchen (I didn't buy them, but made notes).

I think I spent over 2 hours there, just wandering. And then, I was done. And it was fun. The best sort of window-shopping. All alone, no time limit, and no urge to buy very much (except a few choice items).

It's a good thing I got hungry or I could have ended up at Barnes and Noble or someplace very dangerous like that. When you're in a window-shopping mode such as I was, who knows what could happen. You might never make it home.
