Your description of being devasted could not have been more perfect.Stefaniehttp://somanybooksblog.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28671830.post-69106415667882284632010-02-17T08:12:16.514-08:002010-02-17T08:12:16.514-08:00Christy: thanks! And yes, although I'd LOVE to talk about the secret, it would ruin it for anyone coming along who wants to read it. I'll get to discuss it in my bookclub. :) And I'm going to put Remains of the Day on my TBR list.

Tammie: you must. Though yes, it made me SO sad :( I was sad for days after I finished it.

Also, it's a relief to see you worry about spoilers - whenever I review books like this (or, say, Fingersmith) I invariably get comments where people say, "wait, that's a spoiler? I thought it was SO OBVIOUS from the VERY FIRST paragraph that nobody could POSSIBLY fail to guess the secret RIGHT AWAY". Which make me feel very dim indeed :P

Do read The Remains of the Day. It's a gorgeous book too <3Ana S.https://www.blogger.com/profile/16092495983972185943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28671830.post-78515447940911753562010-02-16T21:27:52.235-08:002010-02-16T21:27:52.235-08:00Nice review!
