Which I haven't read in years.

Yeah, that bit where King's talking about the vampires resting with their various vampire friends in various places while the rest of the town sort of uneasily shuffles about - masterpiece.Katehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09314153391153507955noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28671830.post-78146643479768402472008-02-16T13:04:00.000-08:002008-02-16T13:04:00.000-08:00I remember that part terrifying me when I was youn...I remember that part terrifying me when I was younger too... I think also the day when most of the people were already vampires and the rest were very uneasy... something about the whole town being almost completely vampires and the rest not knowing it really freaked me out. I know what you mean about 'daytime restriction' -- I think I had to put Pet Sematery on 'daytime only' status. I also now have a thing about older cars when they are parked alone on a street. I always expect the lights to blink on suddenly. eek.Daphnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15394393707234499156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28671830.post-84188355102432794282008-02-16T12:46:00.000-08:002008-02-16T12:46:00.000-08:00I'm still slightly terrified of 'Salem's Lot. I read it for the first time in middle school and reread it throughout high school, and it's the only book I've ever placed a "daylight restriction" on - i.e., I only allowed myself to read it during the day. The bit where the vampire shows up at the teacher's house, floating at the second storey window and says something like "I will see you walk with the dead, teacher" - gah - those are things a twelve-year-old does not soon forget!Katehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09314153391153507955noreply@blogger.com
